It’s excellent. We have Bell FIBE 1.5GB internet and you can easily download and upload large files quickly. Cell phone reception is super solid at HyggeHaus (we have Rogers). We use a Google Home system to automate lights and the radio and set timers, etc.

We can accommodate 6 people in the cooler months (3 Queen-size beds) and 8 people in the warmer months (+ Double bed in unheated Bunkie). We also have plenty of couch space and a pack n’ play for infants should folks not want to share beds. We also have a large, mesh pet bed.

Absolutely! It would be our pleasure to host your little (and not so little) ones. We have plenty of on-site games and arts & crafts supplies and even Disney+. Of course, they’ll want to explore the woods and enjoy nature and maybe even have a swim with you at the sandy beach. Pack n’ play with mattress and crib sheets available onsite.

100%. What would be an escape in the woods without your best buds? We ask that you pick up after your dog on the main grounds and pathways (but a #2 in the deeper woods is not an issue) and keep you dogs close to you at all times. Please bring up your own food, dry off towels and furniture covers should your fur babies like to hang with you on the couch. We have pet bowls and large, mesh suspended dog bed onsite. Yes, we have a broom and vacuum onsite for you to clean up any extra hair and niggly stuff. Of course, if any damage occurs from your pet, we will have to determine a fair remuneration.

The good news is our hydro lines are buried so it’s unlikely that this will occur. In the odd instance the power goes out, it isn’t usually off for long. The stove top and water bowler (radiant heating) is natural gas (propane) so cooking and heating in the home isn’t affected.

It is definitely recommended that you have a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle with winter tires from November-March when visiting where possible.

The answer is yes and no. We are a long bungalow with smooth concrete floors and we have a ramp that we can add to the front step, upon request. Our showers are completely barrier-free. We do not have grab bars though and regrettably our doorways are not wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair.

HyggeHaus is strictly non-smoking—this includes cigarettes, vaping, and cannabis. Please kindly smoke outdoors away from any open doors or windows. Please do not leave any smoking-related waste outdoors. Guests will be charged $250 CAD if this policy is violated.
